Meet Dr Melissa Aji

Dr Aji is a Clinical Psychologist and academic researcher specialising in sleep. She completed her PhD in Sleep Science and has trained and worked within specialist sleep clinics, helping adults overcome chronic insomnia and other sleep difficulties using evidence-based psychological treatments. Dr Aji works with adults experiencing: • Chronic insomnia • Difficulty falling asleep • Frequent night-time awakenings • Early morning waking • Circadian rhythm sleep disorders • Nightmares and parasomnias • Sleep-related anxiety She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the gold-standard psychological treatment for chronic insomnia. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Aji is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Black Dog Institute, where she leads a team of researchers focused on improving treatments for anxiety and sleep difficulties. She is a published author and has presented her work at national and international conferences.
